Juliette. Friday, November 4, 2011

The lights from the light post beamed through the morning fog like lasers. The coldness crept on me, slowly making it's way into my cloth, making me shiver violently. It's weird for me to have walked alone in the dusk after a heavy rain. Kind to think of it, I've never done it before my whole life.

Minsoo's POV.
I struggled to find her in this weather with my aching heart. Luck was the only thing I needed to find her, my juliette. The first time I saw her was yesterday, at school. Her face seemed so familiar to me. Then, it hit me like lightning. She was the girl who just moved next to my house. A newbie, I thought.

We've spoken a few words to each other before but not more than 'Hey. How's your day?' or 'How's your family doing?'.

Shiny and soft black hair, eyes like diamonds, lips like a knife which can go straight to your heart when she smiles. Voice like the wind, slow and soft and it can blow your mind away.

My mind have been wondering for ages. It's time for me to snap back to reality. I fastened my pace and cut through the fog. Where is she?

My steps drew to a halt. For a second there, I smelt her pine tree-like perfume. Automatically, my foot began walking towards the smell of the perfume.

Then, I saw a figure, sitting on the wet ground and making silent sobs. Like thunder, I moved towards that figure full of sorrow, hoping that I could comfort her.

Minsoo slowly wrapped his lithe, yet strong arms around me, making me stop weeping. At that time, I didn't know it was him. Thus, I brusquely pushed his arms away from me and got up to see who it was.

Shocked from my reaction, Minsoo stood up promptly as I wiped my tears, giving me the what-the-hell-was-that-for? look. I managed to plaster a brittle smile.

"Hey, you alright?" He finally said.

I nodded, speechless.

"Oh...yeah. Your mom told me to take care of you . Well, since you're new and all " Minsoo gave me his eye-squinting smile.

Still trying to shake the shock off, I nodded and I slowly reached for his hands, his warm , warm hands for comfort. Surprisingly, he pulled me near. Near enough to feel his warm breath down my neck. Near enough to hear him breathing and near enough to hear his whisper ; will you be my Juliette?

To tell the truth, he had me at the first hello. The way he held me and asked me for my amorous attention that night made me feel cold inside, somehow.
